Job summary

SII UK seeks a Senior Java Engineer to join a collaborative Agile team delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS. You will design, develop and maintain high-quality applications while promoting craftsmanship and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Java Engineer within Agile delivery environments.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade Java applications on AWS.
• Experience in teams that use pair programming as a standard practice.
• Strong background across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Heavy emphasis on automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications.
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Participate in daily pair programming as a core delivery practice.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and delivery teams.
• Champion TDD and clean code principles in projects.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
