Job summary

Adaptive is a financial consulting firm delivering front-office technology solutions for capital markets. We work with leading banks, asset managers, fintechs and service providers globally, including offices in London and New York, delivering trading platform capabilities.

You will join a highly skilled team tackling technically challenging projects, collaborating across disciplines and sharing knowledge to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Significant, professional server-side software development experience.
• Solid experience programming using Core Java. Exposure to Java 25+ is a plus.
• Experience developing Front Office financial systems, E-Trading and FIX.
• Experience in delivering OMS/EMS/Exchange systems.
• Exposure to equities trading & brokerage.
• General knowledge of data injection/inversion of control.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).

• A JVM lover who really enjoys working with the latest technologies and design patterns
• Eager to solve complex technical challenges, especially in cloud-based environments and event driven architecture patterns

• Experienced within the Fintech industry

YOU HAVE:

THE PROCESS

Long interview processes are stressful and boring and that is not us

We want to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

So here you will have three stage interviews:

1. A chat with one of our great recruiters.
2. A zoom chat with one of our Java colleagues where they will ask you detailed questions about your experience
3. A Face to Face interview (either in our office or via Zoom). During this interview, we will dig even deeper and you will have a pair programming task to do. You will also have a chat with our local director.

But don’t worry; everything will be explained to you step by step by your recruiter.
