Job summary

remotestar-team in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Java & AWS Engineer to join a hybrid engineering squad. You will build scalable cloud-native platforms using Java, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS) and microservices.

You’ll practice TDD, drive automated testing, and collaborate in paired programming while delivering robust REST APIs and CI/CD pipelines. AI capabilities and modern cloud tooling are part of the exciting roadmap.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java and AWS experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS in production.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Proficient in RESTful API design and testing.
• Familiar with TDD and pair programming.
• Automation with CI/CD and Docker.
• Experience with Terraform / IaC is a plus.
• Exposure to AI capabilities and LLMs.
• Kafka / event-driven architectures desirable.
