Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior IVVQ Engineer to own system integration and testing across rail solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, reliable IVVQ processes.

The role is hybrid with on-site presence required at Bradford on Avon area, plus occasional travel; you will lead IVVQ activities, develop test strategies, and drive continuous delivery improvement and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in IVVQ with systems development.
• Proficient in SQL data querying and analysis.
• Experience with networking (Cisco/Netgear) and Linux systems.
• Python scripting for automation and system tasks.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS for requirements management.
• Agile methodologies and JIRA exposure.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to ensure delivery.
• Identify and close defects, debt, and bottlenecks.
• Apply project IVVQ management plans and tooling.
• Provide status updates and forecast remaining work.
• Lead IVVQ team operationally when appointed.
• Interface with clients for test specs and acceptance testing.
• Write and review test plans and specifications.
• Execute tests and record results.
• Maintain quality targets and standards.
• Define and implement IVVQ tools.
