Job summary

U.S. Embassy London Annex in Croughton is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to own and advance the Diplomatic Technology network and security posture. You will lead design, deployment, and operation of critical IT systems to enable diplomatic missions and VIP visits.

The role combines hands-on technical ownership with leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior staff, and managing IT projects and budgets in a global team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in network operations and security for high-sensitivity environments.
• Ability to obtain and hold U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, security appliances, wireless, cabling).
• Administer user accounts across networks, cloud platforms, and communication systems.
