Overview

Senior IT Support Specialist focusing mainly on JAMF/MDM support with 25% of the role focused on Windows machines. This is a temporary/part-time position (30 hours per week) with a client in the Mergers & Acquisition space. The role is on-site in London for the initial period (5 days per week) and may move to 3 days per week at a later stage.

What you'll do

As a Senior IT Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for internal clients by providing expert guidance across desktop support, cloud applications, network infrastructure maintenance, and device management. You will mentor junior technicians, oversee onboarding/offboarding activities, manage asset inventories, and deliver high-quality technical assistance for both macOS- and Windows-based environments. You will drive process improvements through involvement in IT projects while maintaining robust documentation practices. By collaborating with teams across time zones, you will help guarantee consistent service delivery and will communicate clearly with non-technical staff. You will conduct user training sessions and troubleshoot complex issues.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience supporting macOS laptops or desktops in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency supporting computers running macOS (10.14 onwards) and Windows 10/11.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based email platforms such as Office 365 or Google G-Suite and mobile device management (iOS).
  • Ability to communicate empathetically with non-technical colleagues and listen respectfully to their concerns.
  • Experience configuring computers (Windows and macOS), installing applications, setting up user accounts, and managing device security protocols.
  • Practical knowledge troubleshooting network infrastructure including wired/wireless networks, VoIP systems, and managed printing solutions (including basic printer maintenance).
  • Familiarity with centralized management/MDM tools for OS configuration/administration (e.g., JAMF Pro or Intune).
  • Ability to follow written documentation accurately when performing tasks or adhering to established procedures.
  • Demonstrates leadership by guiding less experienced technicians and fostering a supportive learning environment.
