Job summary

QinetiQ in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead complex sourcing initiatives, develop and execute strategies that deliver strategic value, cost optimisation and risk mitigation across multiple categories, while ensuring compliance and ethical standards.

You will identify, develop and nurture supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with the Business Partnering team to drive improvements, governance and Group-scale opportunities across spend.

Qualifications

• Proven contract negotiation skills.
• Experience in business relationship management.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies and procurement processes.
• Ability to identify and mitigate supply chain and regulatory risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers to influence behaviours and ensure appropriate involvement of Procurement in all sourcing activities
• Maintain awareness of the restrictions, controls and accreditations that are placed upon suppliers working in a Defence environment, always ensuring that both sourcing strategies and the incumbent supplier base do not jeopardise or threaten internal compliance
• Collaborate with the Business Partnering team to identify opportunities to utilise existent supplier relationships and frameworks that leverage Group scale
• Collaboratively develop sourcing strategies with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans across spend
