Our Saskatoon client has an Outstanding Opportunity for a Permanent Senior IT Security Specialist who is a well-rounded security generalist with deep hands‑on technical expertise, and who thrives in a collaborative environment where both mentoring and execution are essential.

Must Have
  • Minimum 10 years as an IT Security Specialist
  • Experience in cloud security configuration (GCP, Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture principles
  • Hands‑on experience configuring and maintaining tools such as SIEM, PAM, SWG, CASB, EDR, and antimalware platforms
Nice‑to‑Have
  • CISSP or other relevant security certifications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain risks clearly.
  • Generalist‑level understanding of security concepts across multiple domains.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience balancing operational and project work (approx. 50 / 50).
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical security expertise to IT projects and business projects
  • Conduct security reviews of new applications (on‑premises and cloud)
  • Support governance and compliance activities (e.g., security baselines, change reviews)
  • Maintain and enhance existing security tools and solutions.
  • Implement new security technologies and process improvements.
  • Review and approve security‑related changes.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate team members.
