Job summary

Sophos is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead IT Applications initiatives, coordinating business and IT teams across multiple functions. You will establish schedules, drive plans, manage scope, risk and budget, and ensure timely delivery of complex software projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading IT software projects with teams larger than five.
• Experience applying and improving project management methodologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project schedules and work breakdown structures to meet objectives.
• Create and drive project plans to optimize cross-functional resources.
• Coordinate activities of sub-teams.
• Control day-to-day project aspects including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
• Document and communicate status, issues, and risks to project team and senior management.
• Serve as the first escalation point for the project team.
• Mentor and train team members in project management.
• Build strong business relationships and manage project issues to resolution.
• Engage and promote Sophos IT Applications project management methodology.
• Contribute to execution of the project management strategy within the organization.
