Job summary

Aviva is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead delivery across the Data Workstream within the Data & Modelling Control (DMC) Programme. The role focuses on strengthening data journeys from PAS to MPF production and actuarial models, delivering data lineage, validation and control across the programme.

You will coordinate with Architecture, Engineering, Data and Finance teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring BAU transition and alignment with enterprise data

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex data/tech programmes in large organisations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end IT project delivery lifecycle (requirements to implementation).
• Experience coordinating Architecture, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure and Testing teams.
• Experience delivering data remediation, migration, re-platforming or modernisation initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
• Solid project planning, governance, risk management and delivery capabilities.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex data/tech change initiatives across full IT delivery lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budgets.
• Coordinate delivery across Data, Engineering, Architecture, Testing and Business teams.
• Drive end-to-end data lineage, transformation and control activities.
• Ensure business requirements translate into effective technical solutions that meet programme objectives.
• Oversee solution design, build, testing, release and implementation activities.
• Manage dependencies across Technology, Finance, Actuarial and wider stakeholders.
• Support data remediation, migration, modernisation and re-platforming initiatives.
• Ensure governance, reporting and stakeholder communications are maintained.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled solutions to improve delivery efficiency.
• Support sustainable data controls and operating models transitioning to BAU.
• Ensure delivery aligns with programme milestones and enterprise data architecture.
• Experience in Financial Services, especially Finance/Actuarial environments.
• Exposure to AI, automation or data-led transformation initiatives.
• Experience delivering data lineage, governance or data quality improvements.
• Previous experience on large-scale data transformation or technology modernisation programmes.
