Job summary

Office Shoes is seeking a hands-on IT Senior Engineer to deliver reliable, scalable technology across our stores, Head Office and warehouse operations.

You will lead IT readiness for new store openings, support BAU duties including tills, networking, and store tech, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure support.
• Strong experience supporting retail technology environments.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, Fortinet, switching, Wi‑Fi and POS systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory.
• Strong Windows Desktop and Windows Server support experience.
• Exposure to VMware and Hyper‑V environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and FTP support.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Support IT infrastructure across stores, Head Office and warehouse locations.
• Lead the IT setup and readiness for new store openings and refurbishments.
• Deliver infrastructure and POS rollout projects with minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide BAU support for tills, networking, connectivity and store technologies.
• Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues to minimise downtime.
• Participate in an on‑call rota for critical incidents.
• Act as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk and engineering teams.
• Support store lifecycle activities including openings, closures and relocations.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to process improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
