Job summary

Expedia Group seeks an experienced iOS developer to build high-quality mobile experiences for our consumer brands including Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. You will design, implement, and evolve iOS solutions using Swift, delivering user-friendly interfaces on iPhone and iPad.

You will collaborate with product managers, backend and domain-service teams across brands, contributing to server-driven UI and platform migrations, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–7 years of professional software development experience, including substantial iOS development.
• Advanced experience developing complex iOS applications using Swift.
• Proven understanding of iOS application architecture and the trade-offs between architectural approaches.
• Experience delivering software from concept through production, with a consistent focus on quality.
• Proficient communication skills and the ability to explain technical challenges and delivery decisions clearly.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools as part of modern engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality user interfaces for complex iOS applications using Swift.
• Design, implement, and evolve iOS solutions while evaluating architectural trade-offs.
• Deliver consumer-facing experiences for applications such as Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo.
• Build configurable, reusable platform capabilities that support multiple brands and products.
• Consider device capabilities and design considerations across iPhone and iPad.
• Collaborate with product managers, backend teams, domain service teams, brand teams, and other platform groups.
• Explain technical challenges, decisions, and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to initiatives including server-driven UI, clickstream improvements, product-card redesigns, platform migration, BEX redesign, and banner content management.
