Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join our Customer Experience team. You will deliver high-quality features for the iPhone and iPad apps, collaborating with designers to craft accessible interfaces and working within an agile team to ship reliable experiences for millions of users.

You will contribute to a mature platform, applying modern iOS technologies and best practices, with an emphasis on quality, performance and user experience across devices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Swift and iOS development using core frameworks.
• Experience delivering high-quality iOS apps with attention to UI and UX.
• Solid understanding of iOS design patterns and app architecture.
• Experience with unit tests and automation testing.

Job Description

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join our Customer Experience team and help continue the success of our iPhone and iPad apps. This role is about delivering high quality, thoughtfully built experiences at scale, and working collaboratively to make products that customers genuinely value.

Our app is used by over 8 million active users globally, maintains an excellent App Store rating, and is built using modern iOS technologies including the latest versions of Swift. You'll be contributing to a mature, well supported platform where quality, reliability and user experience matter.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering high quality features and improvements, following iOS best practices and platform guidelines
• Working closely with designers to implement clear, accessible and well crafted user interfaces
• Collaborating within an agile, cross functional team, sharing responsibility for team outcomes
• Taking ownership of your work while contributing ideas and improvements across the codebase
• Supporting code quality, maintainability and testing to ensure a reliable user experience

About you

• Experience building iOS applications using Swift and the core iOS frameworks
• Comfortable working with Xcode, Interface Builder and Auto Layout to create responsive user interfaces
• Understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and platform design principles
• Knowledge of common software design patterns and architecture concepts
• An interest in writing clear, maintainable code and improving existing codebases
• Experience building apps that work well across iPhone and iPad screen sizes
• Familiarity with unit testing and a willingness to contribute to test coverage
• Experience with UI automation tools, or a desire to learn them
