Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA), ideally chartered.
  • Experienced in investment or property accounting, with exposure to partnerships and trusts.
  • Strong technical grounding in management and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Proficient in Excel, with a strong grasp of financial systems and data.
  • Able to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Senior Investment Accountant – Family Office

Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a prestigious Family Office based in central London, supporting the search for a seasoned Senior Investment Accountant to join their dynamic and growing finance function.

This is a broad, hands‑on role offering exposure across investment vehicles, property companies, partnerships, and trusts.

Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing finance transformation work, including system improvements.
  • Manage and produce regulatory reporting and performance analysis across multiple currencies.
  • Drive greater financial insight and help with bank reporting.
  • Support external audits and liaise with key third parties, including property managers and banks.
  • Review and guide the work of junior accountants and contribute to process improvement across the department.
Qualifications
  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA), ideally chartered.
  • Ideally experienced in investment or property accounting, with exposure to partnerships and trusts.
  • Strong technical grounding in management and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Proficient in Excel, with a strong grasp of financial systems and data.
  • Able to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including property managers and banks.
  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and confident reviewing junior team members' work.
  • Adaptable, commercially aware, and able to respond at pace to evolving priorities.
  • Family office, Asset Management, Hedge fund, Private equity or Fund/Investment accounting experience is desirable.
