Senior Investigator

  • Start ASAP- pending security clearance
  • Pay: 23.68ph
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 36 hours per week, this is a hybrid working role and you are required in the office two days a week
  • Duration: 6 months, possible extension
  • Location: closest station- Charing Cross train station.
  • Security Clearance: SC

Are you ready to take your investigative skills to the next level? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Investigator to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a prestigious law enforcement organisation that investigates and prosecutes the most serious and complex cases of fraud, bribery, and corruption.

Your Role

As a Senior Investigator, you will play a key role in leading investigations into suspected serious fraud and corruption. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, you will help ensure that high-profile cases move smoothly from inception to prosecution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations aligned with legislation and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and multidisciplinary colleagues to lead key areas of inquiry.
  • Oversee the work of junior investigators and provide guidance.
  • Maintain constant review of investigations and deliver regular updates to senior management.
  • Produce critical financial and witness statements and provide evidence in court when necessary.
  • Manage the disclosure process in compliance with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996.
  • Lead and develop your team, setting objectives and addressing performance issues.
Who We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in delivering successful case outcomes.
  • Strong financial literacy with the ability to analyse financial records.
  • Experience in drafting precise witness statements and reports.
  • Solid understanding of risk and operational security.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investigatory practises, including disclosure and interviewing techniques.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms.
  • Familiarity with interrogation of large data sets.
Qualifications
  • Recognised investigative or accountancy qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading investigations into serious and complex crimes.
