Job summary

Howden is a global insurance group seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a hybrid role in London. The position involves attending the office at least twice weekly and possible travel to UK and other locations (10–15%).

The role prioritises improving risk management, controls and governance within the Group IA function. The successful candidate will have professional qualifications (CIA/ACCA/CISA) and/or insurance qualifications, plus experience in audit or insurance operations, with strong

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in finance/business or insurance viewed favourably.
• Experience in internal or external audit or insurance compliance/ underwriting.
• Ability to perform risk assessments, develop audit programmes and execute testing independently.
• Experience evaluating internal controls and risk-based auditing.
• Regulatory knowledge in Insurance / Reinsurance can be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of diverse internal audits across the Group Audit plan.
• Build positive relationships with senior management and key partners.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the Internal Audit function.
