Job summary

We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is seeking an experienced Principal Auditor to deliver a diverse range of internal audits across Council services and to external clients. The role supports career development and ensures high professional service.

You will oversee the work of auditors, provide governance and risk analysis, engage with senior management and attend Audit Committees, with most work from home and some client/site meetings.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification (CCAB, CMIIA or CIA).
• Extensive senior-level audit experience and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties within the agreed programme of Internal Audit Services.
• Provide high-quality advice, information, and interpretation of governance, risk, counter fraud and internal controls.
• Oversee auditors and manage the commissioning of externally produced reviews.
• Work with senior management across the Council and attend Audit Committees.
