Job summary

McLaren Automotive is expanding its Supplier Quality & Development team in the UK to lead interior trim supplier governance. The Senior Engineer will own the global supplier base for interior trim components, from sourcing through series production, ensuring launch success and ongoing quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Fluent in technical and conversational English; additional languages beneficial.
• Degree-level qualification in a technical engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in Automotive OEM Supplier Quality/Quality Engineering focused on Interior Trim.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA and IQA tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier site assessments for Interior Trim components to ensure capable supply and drive follow-up actions.
• Ensure non-IATF16949 suppliers achieve certification per nomination plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing to select and nominate capable interior trim suppliers.
• Support APQP/PPAP activities and track delivery milestones with clear reporting.
• Manage supplier performance during series production to maintain PPAP compliance and address quality issues.
• Lead governance and continuous improvement with key suppliers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across global supply base.
• Travel and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure on-time launches and quality.
