We have a leadership opportunity for a highly capable Senior Interior Designer / Interior Architect. This role requires a minimum of 8 years’ experience at an architectural or interior design practice, with proven project management experience in high-end design.

You will be responsible for managing all stages of the design process, developing concepts for client presentation, and preparing and coordinating the delivery of detailed design packages and schedules. You will also be expected to manage and delegate a team, direct space planning, and bring exceptional knowledge to curating hi-end FF&E.

Your outstanding communication and presentation skills will be key as you help build the UHA interiors department.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing all stages of design process
  • Development of design concepts for client presentation
  • Selection and specification of materials, finishes and furnishings
  • Preparing and coordinating delivery of detailed design packages and schedules
  • Ability to manage and delegate a team to effectively meet deadlines
  • Be a key part in building the UHA interiors department
Skills & Attributes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design or another closely related field
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience at an architectural or interior design practice
  • Competent in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD or Revit, Adobe Suite
  • Project management experience in high end design
  • Ability to direct space planning and concept development
  • Excellent documentation and detail skills
  • Demonstrate a strength in communication and presentation skills
  • A keen eye for fine design detail and visuals
  • Exceptional knowledge of materials, finishes, detailing
  • Solid experience curating high-end FF&E
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to work under pressure handling large and complex projects
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Be highly presentable to clients
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback, learn and evolve projects as necessary
  • Comfortable leading in a dynamic studio environment often prone to change
  • An ambition to grow the department, becoming a long term and integral member of the team in a leadership role.
Details
  • Work Location: 3 Murphy Street, London, SE1 7FP
  • Work Pattern: 40 hours a week over 5 days, Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility: WFH - 1 day per week.
