Job summary

Netcompany is hiring an Interaction Designer to deliver high-profile digital products for the UK public sector and leading organisations. The role focuses on user-centred design, rapid prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid UK setup.

You will work with market-leading technologies, create personas, service maps and wireframes, and run design workshops to shape public-facing services across transformation programs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering in the UK public sector using GOV.UK design system and GDS standards, passing Service Standard Assessments.
• Strong user-centred design ensuring concepts translate to deliverables.
• Proficient in rapid paper and digital prototyping; collaborate with developers on secure, accessible solutions.
• Experience in agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams on large transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-profile digital products and services for UK clients and public sector organisations.
• Lead design workshops and design sprints with stakeholders and users.
• Create artefacts such as personas, service maps and wireframes.
• Mentor other designers and train teams in design practices.
• Prototype and test designs with users to inform iterative improvements.

Job Description

As an Interaction Designer at Netcompany you will deliver high profile digital products and services for some of the UK’s largest companies and Public Sector organisations.

You will work with market leading technologies and span user, technical and business operations to build solutions that meet user needs, deliver businessimpact and benefit society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience delivering in the UK public sector including working to GDS standards and passing Service Standard Assessments
• Support the end-to-end design of new digital products and services
• Create high-quality, compelling design concepts and artefacts such as personas, service maps and wireframes.
• Lead on design workshops and design sprints with the team, senior stakeholders and users
• Work with user researchers as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create designs based on research that meet user need
• Rapidly design and test digital prototypes with users
• Train and mentor other designers
  

Qualifications

• You have experience delivering in the UK public sector including using the GOV.UK design system, working to GDS standards and passing Service Standard Assessments
• You have strong experience in user-centred design, from concept to delivery
• You are experienced in rapid paper and digital prototyping, work closely with developers and understand security, accessibility, version control and hosting.
• You work in agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams and have experience delivering new services as part of large and complex transformation projects
• You are proficient in the use of interaction design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch and Figma
• Experience in consulting roles is desirable but not essential
• You have strong experience in user-centred design, from concept to delivery
• You are experienced in rapid paper and digital prototyping, work closely with developers and understand security, accessibility, version control and hosting.
• You work in agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams and have experience delivering new services as part of large and complex transformation projects
