Job summary

Pax8 in the UK is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our cloud, networking, telephony and infrastructure capability as we scale the technology marketplace of the future.

You’ll lead complex projects, drive automation with Terraform/Ansible, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Engineering, Security and Product to deliver robust, scalable solutions. This hybrid UK role prioritises Farnborough with Bristol as a secondary option.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, servers and telephony.
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting ability, especially with complex, multi-system issues.
• Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS, with GCП experience beneficial
• Experience with IaC tools and automation, e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or PowerShell.
• Strong Linux experience with CLI proficiency.
• Proven mentoring and coaching of engineers across levels.
• Excellent documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across UK and wider EMEA offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex infrastructure, cloud, networking and telephony work to keep systems reliable, secure and scalable.
• Support and improve services across Azure, AWS, hosted cloud environments, servers and enterprise networking.
• Shape telephony solutions for better control, visibility and resilience.
• Contribute to Pax8 OS, GitHub adoption and cross-region projects.
• Drive automation across manual processes using IaC and AI-enabled approaches.
• Act as senior troubleshooting partner for incidents across cloud, infrastructure, telephony and workplace tech.
• Improve documentation, standards, alerting, reporting and disaster recovery practices.
• Mentor Level I–III engineers to raise technical confidence and capability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Product, Workplace Experience and vendors to deliver joined-up solutions.
