Pontoon is seeking a Senior Commercial Buyer for an infrastructure programme. The role is a fixed-term 6-month contract with a daily rate of 500–600 umbrella, based in Warwick or Wokingham on a hybrid arrangement (3 days onsite).

You will coordinate procurement activities, balance project needs with commercial strategy, and ensure smooth interfaces between programme delivery teams and procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC4 contracts and procurement documentation.
• Strong understanding of governance and workflow in public procurement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Interface between programme delivery teams and procurement function.
• Develop sourcing strategies, tender docs, evaluation and contracts.
• Coordinate procurement workstreams with project milestones.
• Collaborate with legal, finance and project stakeholders for procurement support.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement records and governance compliance.
• Facilitate contract mobilisation after awards.
• Track procurement actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Lead supplier clarification and evaluation activities.
