Job description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our distributed team of DevOps and infrastructure specialists. The ideal candidate will have extensive cloud infrastructure automation expertise, a deep understanding of hybrid environments, and a passion for innovation and efficiency. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and IT teams to develop robust systems supporting our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructures across on-premises and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including multi-cluster and multi-regional Kubernetes environments.
• Create and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell) and tools (GitLab, Terraform, Vault, Ansible) to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement and integrate monitoring and observability solutions, like AIOps, for proactive system issue detection and response.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability.
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support operational continuity.
• Contribute to quarterly feature development as a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, collaborating with project managers, IT teams, and business units.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance operational performance.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure automation.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher), automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Bash, Python, and Go.
• Experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles with a focus on hybrid infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

Nice to Have Skills:

• CKA or CKAD certifications, and advanced certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working in a globally distributed team.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and incident management frameworks.
