Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Newcastle is seeking a security engineering professional to deliver advanced cyber security designs for space and ground-based communications systems.

You will assess threats across the program lifecycle, implement security controls, perform certification work, and advise on high-impact projects to protect national security and critical infrastructure.

Experience with NIST standards and related training is desirable.

Qualifications

• Expert in cyber security and information security for space and ground-based systems.
• Knowledge of NIST standards or equivalents and their application is highly desirable.
• Significant related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provides security engineering designs and implementation across hardware, software, data and procedures.
• Assesses and mitigates threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
• Performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing; liaises with stakeholders.
• Works under consultative direction towards long-range goals and often initiates assignments.
