Job summary

CLS's Enterprise Data Management team aims to maximise the value of FX data to support corporate objectives. You will understand operational source data, design storage in the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and use analytical tools to deliver key insights to business units.

You will develop reports with SQL and BI tools, monitor data quality, automate tasks, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the data quality framework.

Qualifications

• IT, Mathematical, Economics or similar analytical subjects - A Level or equivalent (Essential)
• Degree (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Shape data analytics strategic vision to enable the right information to the right people at the right time (tooling, architecture etc.)
• Develop reports and analyses using SQL, BI & statistical tools against the CLS data warehouse and the data quality framework.
• Keep the warehouse up to date and exceeding data quality targets
• Monitor, investigate and resolve issues with the ETL and reporting processes
• Oversee the execution of scheduled analyses, reporting and model processes and automate repeat tasks using available SQL & BI tools
• Log work requests, provide estimations of effort and track progress
• Create and maintain process documentation
• Mentor L3/4 team members.

Job description

The candidate will work in the Enterprise Data Management team, with the goal of maximising the value of FX data at CLS's disposal to support corporate objectives. This will be achieved by gaining a sound understanding of the operational source data, deciding how best to store it in the Enterprise Data Warehouse and subsequently using analytical tools to provide key insights.

Essential Function / major duties and responsibilities of the job

Strategic

• Help shape Data Analytics strategic vision to enable the right information to be available to the right people at the right time (tooling, architecture etc.)
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the data quality framework and its associated processes and reporting
• Identify opportunities to monetize data

Operational

• Work to develop reports and analyses using SQL, BI & statistical tools against the CLS data warehouse and the data quality framework.
• Keep the warehouse up to date and exceeding data quality targets
• Monitor, investigate and resolve issues with the ETL and reporting processes
