Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) wishes to appoint a Lead Infection Control Nurse to lead the Infection Prevention and Control Team and work with the Corporate Nursing Team on IPC delivery across NHSGGC. The postholder will provide professional and clinical expertise to IPC within the governance model and ensure quality improvements across services.

• Registered general nurse with Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control.
• Masters degree in IPC is desirable.
• Experience across organisational boundaries and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the prevention and control of infection within NHSGGC.
• Contribute to policy development and standards for IPC.
• Deliver IPC education programmes for health and social care staff.
• Monitor, surveil, investigate and manage infections within NHSGGC.
