Job summary

Lockheed Martin UK is seeking a Senior Indirect Procurement Specialist for a 12-month contract at our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The role supports indirect procurement across facilities management and capital equipment, with hybrid working (Mon-Tue onsite, Wed-Thu home).

You will manage supplier delivery, negotiate terms, and provide guidance to internal customers. A security clearance (SC) is required, with experience in facilities, engineering, and production

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Indirect Buyer.
• Experience buying for FM hard and soft services.
• Experience in minor works projects (office refurbishments £10k–£500k).
• Capital acquisition of manufacturing machinery and IT equipment.
• Excellent understanding of procurement best practice.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement techniques/tools.
• Strong commercial skills with ability to analyse and negotiate value.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Undertake procurement processes (RFQs, ITTs, terms and conditions, bid evaluation, award).
• Hold procurement delegation and sign supplier agreements and PO within limit.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best value.
• Provide guidance on procurement policy and contracts to internal customers.
• Manage and monitor contracts to ensure obligations are met.
• Deliver procurements managing schedule and cross-functional interactions.
• Develop stakeholder relationships with internal/external contacts.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with procedures and manage risks.
• Interface between internal customers and suppliers for clear communication.
• Support supplier performance reviews as required.
• Contribute to continual improvement of supply chain processes.
