We are seeking an experienced individual to undertake the role of Senior Income and Collection Officer within our busy Finance team. The post holder plays a key role in the Income Collection Department acting as a key support and deputy to the Income Collection Manager.
This role ensures a comprehensive oversight and strategic management of all income streams for the university, particular focus on partnership income streams. Ensuring all sources of income are accurately recorded, monitored and reported.
The post-holder plays a critical part in budgeting and forecasting income and ensuring compliance with contractual terms, working with the Senior Management Accountant in the development of income budgets and forecasts.
The post-holder will provide specialist / technical support on a wide range of activities and services relating to the income finance team, using specialist / technical skills and knowledge acquired through qualifications and / or practical experience.
The successful applicant will support the Income Collection Manager with system development and integrations. Deputising where necessary to manage members of the Income team, overseeing and co-ordinating their day-to-day work activities.
Applicants should be part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience. With proven experience in financial accounting with a strong focus on income recognition. Experience of higher education would be helpful, but it is recognised that a wider experience also brings with it new ideas and opportunities.
In meeting your performance expectations, you’ll receive an annual salary increase in line with the grade of your role. An annual cost of living uplift will be applied, the timing and implementation of which are subject to the University’s decision.
