NSFT is seeking an influential Senior Inclusion and Staff Experience Manager to lead our strategic agenda for equality, inclusion, and staff experience. This is a pivotal role, shaping the future of our organisation and directly impacting the wellbeing of our staff and the communities we serve.

What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Equalities, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in a senior inclusion/equality role or staff experience/OD/engagement role within a complex organization.
  • Deep understanding of statutory requirements and best practice in inclusion and diversity.
  • Proven ability to influence at Board, system, and national level, and to lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, consultancy, and coaching skills, with the ability to translate insight into effective strategies.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for inclusion, equity, and staff experience across NSFT, ensuring alignment with our People and Culture Strategy, the NHS People Promise, and national priorities.
  • Lead the development and delivery of transformational programmes that improve staff engagement, belonging, and psychological safety, with a focus on underserved and marginalised groups.
  • Oversee statutory compliance (WRES, WDES, EDS2, Gender Pay Gap) and ensure these are embedded in our wider strategic planning.
  • Translate staff voice and feedback into meaningful improvements in workplace culture, wellbeing, and organisational performance.
  • Act as a technical expert and adviser to the Executive Team and Trust Board, ensuring workforce equity and staff experience are central to our strategy.
  • Build strong relationships across the Integrated Care System and contribute to regional and national priorities, representing NSFT at key forums.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in human resources, Equalities, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPD, ILM).
  • Evidence of delivering strategic cultural change programmes with measurable impact.
Experience
  • Significant experience in a senior inclusion or equality role within a complex organisation and/or a staff experience, OD or engagement role with clear equity outcomes.
  • Providing quality highly specialist advice to managers and board members on complex equality and inclusion issues.
  • Experience of developing and delivering inclusion programmes and interventions, working in close partnership with HR colleagues and wider stakeholders.

Salary: £64,455 to £74,896 a year gross per annum (pro rata)
