Job summary

Swansea-based In-House Solicitor role for COLP & COFA, offering almost fully remote work and immediate start. The candidate will manage regulatory compliance, risk and a small caseload of complex claims, with scope to influence policy and oversee key regulatory responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years PQE, experience in claims or related legal field, and a willingness to undertake COLP/COFA duties with strong knowledge of SRA requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE as a qualified Solicitor.
• Experience in claims, litigation, personal injury or related field.
• Experience or willingness to take COLP/COFA responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of SRA regulation and risk management.
• Ability to manage a small number of complex claims with strategic input.

Responsibilities

• Act as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA).
• Oversee regulatory compliance, risk management and policy implementation.
• Monitor adherence to SRA requirements and professional obligations.
• Oversee COFA financial compliance, controls and reporting.
• Manage a small number of complex claims and provide strategic legal input.
• Advise the business on legal, regulatory and risk issues.
• Maintain compliance records and ensure processes are followed.
• Collaborate with senior management on regulatory and operational needs.
