Job summary

Qualifications

  • Full and specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the GMC or be eligible for registration within six months of the interview.
  • Significant and ongoing experience in adult intensive care medicine.
  • Evidence of participation in audit.

Responsibilities

  • One in nine weeks as the Consultant on the Intensive care unit.
  • Participate in the out of hours on call rota.
  • Play an active role in departmental teaching, research, and governance.

Skills

Significant and ongoing experience in adult intensive care medicine
Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
ATLS, APLS, ALS provider or equivalence
Evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
Recognised teaching qualification

Education

Full and specialist registration with the GMC
Higher Degree
FRCA, FCEM, FRCP, other postgraduate exams
Specific training in paediatric critical care
