Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join our 29-strong ICU team at the City & Weston Hospital Operating Unit. This substantive post offers flexible working arrangements to meet service needs across multiple sites.

You must hold a CCT in Intensive Care Medicine (or be within six months of your CCT date) with GMC registration. The post supports full-time or less-than-full-time working within the consultant rota.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• CCT in Intensive Care Medicine (or equivalent) or within six months of the interview date (note this does not apply to CESR).
• Higher academic qualification e.g. MD, PhD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine with a CCT (or equivalent) and GMC registration.
• Provide high-quality ICU care across City & Weston Hospital sites and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in ECMO centre activities and the regional critical care outreach service.
• Assist in service development and cross-site collaboration as part of the Trust's strategic plan.
