Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking a Senior ICT & Security Engineer to join our team from one of our London, Bicester or Newcastle offices. You will lead ICT infrastructure and security projects, liaise with clients, and ensure delivery in line with RED processes.

The role requires an engineering degree in ICT infrastructure and 5–10 years’ experience, with strong knowledge of network, data centre and security design.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in ICT infrastructure engineering discipline.
• 5-10 years’ relevant employment experience.
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and fee bids.
• Review status advised by project personnel and external parties and adjust schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for Management, Client or others.
• Represent the Company at technical meetings with customers and contractor teams.
• Support delivery of projects in line with RED Project Delivery Process (PM, financial mgmt, QA/QC, technical review).
• Make day-to-day decisions on project progress and liaise with and advise the client.
• Run medium-size projects and take a client-facing role in development, design and coordination of ICT/Security installations.

We now seek a Senior ICT & Security Engineer to be based out of our London, Bicester or Newcastle office.

Role Responsibilities

• Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids
• Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective
• Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with, and provides advice to client
• Responsible for running of medium size projects.
• Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for ICT/Security installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers

Role Requirements

• Engineering degree in appropriate ICT infrastructure engineering discipline
• At least 5 -10 years’ appropriate employment experience
