Job summary

RED, a leading ICT/security consultancy, seeks a Senior ICT & Security Engineer to be based in London, Bicester or Newcastle. The role covers development and delivery of ICT infrastructure and security systems within various projects, with client-facing responsibilities and multi-site coordination.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree in ICT infrastructure, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and the ability to manage medium-size projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in ICT infrastructure engineering discipline.
• 5-10 years of relevant employment experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids.
• Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams.
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.
• Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with, and provides advice to client.
• Responsible for running of medium size projects.
• Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for ICT/Security installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers

Role Requirements

• Engineering degree in appropriate ICT infrastructure engineering discipline
• At least 5 -10 years’ appropriate employment experience

• Construction project management (with a technology emphasis)
• Network technology vendor/manufacturer
• Network systems integration contractor
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation
