Qualifications

  • Outstanding knowledge of Infoworks ICM, with both 1D and 2D modelling experience.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee detailed technical work involving ICM hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS, and report writing
  • Produce high‑quality technical work on behalf of the Flood Risk Team
  • Manage a team of colleagues and support their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Liaise closely with a range of clients and stakeholders throughout the project delivery process
  • Represent the company at meetings and other events and activities
  • Lead several projects simultaneously, recognizing opportunities for further business development
  • Oversee various project aspects, including budgets, timeframes, and resourcing requirements, delegating work as appropriate
Required Skills and Experience
  • A Degree (or equivalent/higher qualification) in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
  • Considerable experience developing flood risk projects (particularly Integrated Catchment Modelling) and undertaking flood risk analyses/assessments for planning, development, and design
  • Outstanding knowledge of Infoworks ICM, with extensive experience of 1D and 2D modelling
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team
  • Demonstrable experience liaising closely with a range of clients and stakeholders across public and private sectors
  • Proficiency in GIS, including ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo
  • Familiarity with other software systems such as Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Possess Chartership Status (or actively working to achieve this)
  • Experience undertaking FEH hydrological assessments
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
