Job Title: Senior ICM Flood Modeller

This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a world-leading, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy known for lending their extensive expertise to a wide range of projects across the engineering and energy landscapes. They are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic Senior ICM Flood Modeller committed to overseeing a team of designers, engineers, and modellers within the flood risk management sector, based near the safe, green town of Sutton (London).

Responsibilities for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include:

• Overseeing detailed technical work involving ICM hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS, and report writing
• Producing high-quality technical work on behalf of the Flood Risk Team
• Managing a team of colleagues, with a commitment to supporting their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Liaising closely with a range of clients and stakeholders at all points during the project delivery process
• Representing the company at meetings and during other events and activities
• Leading several projects simultaneously, recognising opportunities for further business development
• Overseeing a variety of individual project aspects, including budgets, timeframes, and resourcing requirements, delegating work as appropriate

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include:

• A Degree (or equivalent/higher qualification) in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
• Considerable experience of developing flood risk projects (particularly Integrated Catchment Modelling), and undertaking flood risk analyses/assessments for planning, development, and design
• Outstanding working knowledge of Infoworks ICM, with extensive experience of 1D and 2D modelling
• Experience of leading and mentoring a team
• Demonstrable experience of liaising closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
• Proficiency in GIS, including software packages such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo
• Familiarity with other software systems, such as Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, etc.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include:

• Possess Chartership Status (or actively working to achieve this)
• Experience of undertaking FEH hydrological assessments
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
