Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Senior Hypervisor Engineer to help advance our open cloud platform in London. You will contribute to the QEMU/KVM virtualization stack, optimize I/O, and collaborate with open source communities to push the boundaries of hardware virtualization.

You will bring 5+ years of software engineering, strong C skills, and deep Linux experience, with a track record in QEMU/KVM and x86 systems, working across teams to deliver secure, high-performance virtualization solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Fluent in C programming language.
• 3+ years of Linux experience and QEMU/KVM experience.

Responsibilities

• Optimize I/O for emulated disk and network devices.
• Integrate the hypervisor with other platform services and storage facilities.
• Efficiently distribute resources between virtual machines.
• Improve guest system support and performance.
• Advance open source virtualization and participate in upstream.
• Provide low-level security for the hypervisor and emulator.
• Provide general support, fix bugs, and collaborate with the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
