Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited seeks an innovative electrical design engineer to revolutionize critical infrastructure that powers global cloud services. You will design high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple regions, develop electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software, and create detailed construction documents and specs for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with design or construction administration of electrical distribution systems ranging from low voltage to high voltage.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Experience with EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls system software or hardware.
• Experience in project management or as a project lead including RFQ/RFP process, selecting engineering teams, developing budgets, coordinating multiple consultant teams and facilitating meetings.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple geographical regions
• Develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software
• Collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal electrical equipment
• Create detailed construction documents and technical specifications that meet rigorous quality standards
• Support project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and system validation.
