Job summary

SSE is seeking an Operational Electrical Engineer to support Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery projects across Central and Southern Scotland. The role covers SAP duties up to 275kV, technical investigations and asset integrity across multiple sites.

A full UK driving licence is essential for travel, with a base in Glasgow and flexibility to cover the region. The position offers a permanent full-time contract with a competitive salary (£54,952 - £64,738), a company vehicle, performance bonus and

Qualifications

• Minimum HND level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in HV environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP duties up to 275 kV on high value electrical assets.
• Provide planned and unplanned technical support including safety investigations.
• Ensure grid code compliance and monitor plant health.
• Manage contracts through specification, evaluation, planning and monitoring of safety and performance.
• Deliver direct project management for activities related to safety, reliability and design improvements.
