Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental performance across a portfolio of renewable energy projects in the UK. The role covers pre-construction through commissioning, with a focus on building a world-class safety culture and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage contractor HSE performance and collaborate with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high safety standards across multiple

Qualifications

• Proven HSE management experience in renewable energy, utilities, construction or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK legislation.
• Experience supervising contractor HSE performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE strategy across multiple solar and energy storage projects.
• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations and company procedures.
• Conduct site audits, inspections and safety reviews.
• Review and approve RAMS, CPPs and HSE documentation.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training, coaching and awareness programmes.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
