Job summary

Anderselite is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for a heavy civil engineering project in Suffolk. The role offers £65k–£70k+car/benefits and a permanent, full-time contract with opportunities for progression within the business.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day H&S on site, ensure compliance with current legislation, and develop robust policies and procedures across projects. A NEBOSH qualification is desirable and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice.
• Experience in health & safety management within construction or heavy civil engineering is preferred.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day health & safety across the site.
• Ensure compliance with current H&S legislation.
• Develop and maintain H&S policies and procedures.
• Carry out risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Provide H&S guidance, training and support to employees and management.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture throughout the business.
