This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board. The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.
Embark on a career that delivers change. Together we help Britain achieve Net Zero. Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast‑paced HR environment? As Senior HR Coordinator you will be the driving force behind seamless HR support, ensuring processes run smoothly while bringing fresh ideas to the table. If you thrive on variety, precision and collaboration, this is your chance to shape the future of HR within a dynamic engineering team.
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.
In this role you will provide essential HR coordination and leadership, supporting the team with everything from onboarding and compliance to process improvements. It is a unique and exciting opportunity to combine hands‑on HR delivery with project involvement, helping shape a collaborative and inclusive culture.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience, plus a benefits package including a company pension scheme and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. We provide enhanced parental leave, electric vehicle leasing, health insurance, product discounts, critical illness insurance, technology vouchers, gym membership and season ticket loans.
At EDF UK we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone’s working needs are different. Whether you are in our office spaces, on site or working remotely we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection and comfort. Our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued and celebrated.
We champion equity, diversity and inclusion and aim for an equal gender balance, representation from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ and those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We are a disability confident employer and will help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
You will lead and develop the HR Coordinator team, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services across both office and site locations. From managing shared inboxes to streamlining processes you will keep operations running smoothly and identify opportunities for improvement.
Your role covers the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, screening, induction and beyond—while maintaining accurate HR systems and preparing for the transition to a new HRIS in 2026. You will support recruitment, compliance and reporting, providing insights that help shape workforce planning and succession strategies.
Beyond day‑to‑day tasks you will play a key role in projects that drive change and enhance the employee experience. Whether championing diversity and inclusion, coordinating training programmes or supporting business improvement initiatives, your work will make a tangible difference.
You are an experienced HR Coordinator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You are confident communicating at all levels, with excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is important and experience with HR systems will be an advantage. A background in HR coordination or administration is key and while supervisory experience is helpful it is not essential. Ideally you hold an HR or Business Administration qualification, but above all you bring a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and a genuine interest in developing your HR career.
For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have quietly kept Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home‑grown energy. Our teams across the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation while looking to the future. EDF is leading the UK’s nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for another at Sizewell C in Suffolk.
Nuclear power is the most reliable, low‑carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF plays a key role in the development of nuclear sites and Hinkley Point C will provide low‑carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy and boosting skills and education.
We are not just building new nuclear power stations. We develop careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skill areas. It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there is always a need for more.
Our industry offers a wide range of opportunities and in more places than you might think. We are a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero‑carbon electricity. With size, age and experience we believe we can do even more.
For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. As a project we do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
