About the Job

The Senior HR Co‑Ordinator will play a crucial support role within the People & Culture Canada team, helping ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. Their responsibilities will include a mix of administrative and HR‑specific tasks, such as those shown below.

Reporting into the Senior Manager of People & Culture, the Senior HR Co‑Ordinator will handle the foundational tasks that enable the HR department to function efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with employment‑related queries from employees and Managers, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Senior Manager of People & Culture, where appropriate
  • Ensure accurate record‑keeping, including maintaining digital employee files and HR documentation
  • Support Senior Manager of People & Culture on various HR strategies, initiatives and engagement programs that reflect organizational culture and global values
  • Respond to requests from COEs, such as Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits and HRIS team
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding‑related activities
  • Support Leaves of Absence (LOAs) and Modified Duty/Return‑to‑Work programs, including coordination with employees, managers and Benefits team as needed
  • Support with inquiries related to the Workforce Management (WFM) system, escalate issues and troubleshooting to Global HRIS
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills And Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, specifically within the province of Ontario (Employment Standards, AODA, Occupational Health & Safety Act, WSIB)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems
  • Adaptable with a growth mindset and willingness to learn, grow and develop
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Strong tact, influencing, judgment and consultative skills
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
  • CHRP Designation preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, in a comparable HR role, preferably in a fast‑paced, large global organization
