Senior HR Business Partner – Operations

Based in Wellingborough (Northamptonshire) or Wednesbury (West Midlands)

Permanent

Hybrid working offered once relationships have been built, but regular travel will be required for this role

Paying up to £110k plus benefits

The ideal candidate will have worked within a large business, circa 10k‑15k employees

Key Responsibilities of the Senior HR Business Partner
  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver the people strategy across multiple sites
  • Coach and develop operational managers and leadership teams
  • Lead workforce planning, organisational design, and talent development
  • Manage complex employee and industrial relations, including pay negotiations and union engagement
  • Champion culture, safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement
  • Provide HR insights to drive performance and workforce productivity
  • Lead and develop an operations‑aligned HR team
Key Requirements of the Senior HR Business Partner
  • Proven Senior HRBP experience in a heavily operational business, e.g. manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership coaching skills
  • Experienced in complex ER, IR, and union negotiations
  • Strategic, data‑driven, and resilient, with a hands‑on approach
  • Experience of managing and developing teams
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Happy to travel across UK sites
