Job summary

Imperial Brands in Bristol is seeking a commercially minded Senior HR Business Partner for a 12‑month maternity cover contract. You will partner with leaders to shape people strategies, support transformation, and drive performance in a fast-paced, global FMCG environment.

You will influence senior stakeholders, lead organisational change, and collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver best practice and employee engagement across a complex business.

Qualifications

• Senior HRBP experience required, operating at senior partner level.
• Commercial acumen with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in complex or matrix organisations.
• Strong employee relations and organisational change management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to deliver strategic HR initiatives aligned to business objectives.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across HR domains.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join Imperial Brands on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. Principle Accountabilities

• Partner with leadership teams to understand business priorities and deliver strategic HR initiatives aligned to business objectives
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance across all areas of HR
• Lead and support organisational change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, escalating where appropriate
• Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and wider business stakeholders to ensure alignment and best practice
• Drive employee engagement, performance, and development while ensuring compliance with company policies and processes

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience within a Senior HR Business Partner role
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Experience working within a complex or matrix organisation
• Strong employee relations and organisational change management experience
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
