Senior HR Advisor (Part-Time)
Location: Peterborough / UK
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Salary: £34,000 – £35,000 (pro rata)

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support the delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and people-focused HR service across a growing organisation. This is a part-time, permanent opportunity ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters.
Reporting into the HR & Training Manager, you will provide proactive, confidential, and professional HR support, with a strong focus on employee relations, policy application, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Provide accurate advice to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
- Manage and support ER cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance
- Attend and support formal meetings, investigations, and hearings
- Maintain accurate and compliant case documentation
HR Administration & Compliance
- Draft contracts, amendments, and HR correspondence
- Ensure HR processes comply with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs through performance reviews and ER activity
- Support the coordination of training and development initiatives
Policy & Process Improvement
- Assist with reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Contribute to HR projects aimed at improving service delivery
Performance & Engagement
- Support performance management processes, probation reviews, and development plans
- Assist with wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives
Recruitment Support
- Support recruitment campaigns including job descriptions and advertising
- Participate in interviews and selection processes
- Oversee onboarding and induction to ensure a positive candidate experience
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent HR qualification
Working Pattern
- 22.5 hours per week
- Flexible options including 3 full days or 5 shorter days
