Job description

We're looking for a Senior HR Administrator to join our HR Shared Services team based in Rushden.

Location: Rushden – hybrid working available, with travel to the office required 1‑2 days per week.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract. Some flexibility on hours is available if desired; just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Coordinating daily tasks and ensuring work is completed within deadlines.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex queries and mentoring team members.
  • Supporting the Team Manager with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and producing reports to drive service enhancements.
  • Providing accurate HR/pay‑related administration using Oracle HR and other systems.
  • Overseeing a team of administrators, ensuring 1‑2‑1s, performance management, reviews and development conversations are carried out.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience in high‑volume HR administration, ideally in a Shared Service Centre.
  • Previous experience managing teams in a high‑volume HR administration environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems (Oracle HR desirable).
  • Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
  • Enthusiastic about creating a positive team culture and supporting others.
