Job summary

Bupa's The Bridles care home in Wincanton is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a small team, ensure high standards of cleanliness and support resident comfort. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a 09:00–17:00 shift pattern and alternate weekends.

You will supervise housekeeping and laundry, manage rotas, training, and stock, and work closely with maintenance and management to keep every room welcoming and hygienic.

Qualifications

• Experience in a housekeeping role and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills to lead and motivate a team.
• Able to work independently, prioritise and delegate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness within the home, coordinating with maintenance and management to keep every room well presented.
• Lead by example: vacuum, mop, polish and oversee upkeep of all communal areas and residents' bedrooms.
• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, manage rotas, training, and stock levels.
