Cornwall Staff Agency Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Housekeeper to join a private residence near Padstow, Cornwall. This hands-on role requires proactive leadership of housekeeping staff and a commitment to exceptional standards.

Hours are 15 per week across three days (10am–3pm), with a full driving licence essential. The role focuses on maintaining the property to the highest standards, coordinating tasks, and ensuring confidentiality around the Principals.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Discreet, professional and trustworthy with privacy awareness.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising housekeeping staff, allocating duties and ensuring consistently high standards of work.
• Maintaining the property to an exceptional standard, including cleaning, laundry, ironing and preparing guest accommodation.
• Caring for antiques, fine furnishings, delicate finishes and high-value household items.
• Planning ahead and ensuring cleaning products, equipment and household supplies are well stocked.
• Working discreetly and respectfully around the Principals, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Coordinating household tasks, liaising with suppliers and tradespeople, and following up on outstanding maintenance or other jobs.
• Undertaking hands-on housekeeping duties as required and leading by example.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised and hands‑on professional who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards, leading housekeeping staff and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the household.

A background in private household service, particularly working with HNW Principals, or experience in a comparable high‑end, client‑focused environment would be highly advantageous.

The Property

The substantial private residence comprises a main house with six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and six reception rooms, alongside a guest house featuring four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a large open‑plan living area. The property also includes additional facilities and outbuildings.
