Job summary

SUEZ in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Supervisor to lead our team of HGV Technicians in Preston. You will oversee job allocation, ensure safety and compliance, and act as the bridge between workshop and office to keep operations smooth.

You’ll bring supervisory experience, clear communication, calm problem-solving under pressure, and solid computer skills; a Class 1 licence is advantageous. The role offers development opportunities and a rewards-based environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory/team leader role is preferred.
• A great communicator who can act as the bridge between the workshop and the office.
• Calm nature and methodical approach under pressure.
• Natural problem solver.
• You’ll have great computer skills.
• A Class one licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for Job allocation to the team of technicians.
• Conduct Vehicle QC checking and spot checks.
• Work with our transport departments on vehicle availability.
• Prioritize work to meet demands of the business.
• Ensure cost control on parts and external maintenance.
• Carry out equipment checks in line with policy.
• Manage health and safety, near miss reporting.
